Why Choose Nigerian Dwarf Goats

Why Nigerian Dwarf Goats?

Due to their small size, they don't require as much feed or space as larger breeds, making them a good choice as a pet. They also have very friendly and gentle personalities and are easily trained. Most farmers refer them to dog like personalities that will have you falling in love!  GRASS PUPPIES!

What are Nigerian Dwarf Goats used for?

Nigerian Dwarf goat milk typically has a butterfat content of 6–10%, but it can sometimes be as high as 10% or more during lactation. This is three times higher than other dairy goat breeds, which typically have a butterfat content of 2–6%. The higher butterfat content makes Nigerian Dwarf goat milk sweeter and richer, and it's often used for cheesemaking because it yields more cheese per gallon of milk. The milk is also non-GMO, free of antibiotics, drugs, and hormones, and it's easier for the body to digest than cow milk because its fat globules are smaller.

Exceptional Pet Like Quality

We believe in providing exceptional breed standard and expanding on milk lines to give you not just a great milker but a well rounded and beautiful animal that will very quickly become your show stopper on the farm!.

GOAT DEPOSIT DISCLOSURE

Reserving a goat disclaimer!

`IMPORTANT SECURING GOAT INFORMATION`

Deposits are due upon confirmation of reserving a goat. Deposits are non-refundable due to no fault of the breeder, If something should happen to said reserved goat Southdown Acres LLC will refund the deposit immediately.

Requesting a wether is simply denying the registration process thru ADGA resulting in a non-pedigree goat, but will not change the price of said animal.

Horned or Disbudding?

All ADGA goats will be disbudded unless the total is paid in full upfront instead of a deposit to keep horns intact. This must be mentioned before the 14th day of life. All non ADGA goats will come with horns unless mentioned before 14 days of life.

Why English Angora rabbits?

Why English Angora rabbits?

English Angora rabbits are known for being sweet, docile, and good with children. They are also known for being interactive and snuggly. Also they provide some of the best known fiber so be as soft as cashmere.

Breed Purpose

Breed Purpose

Why English Angora rabbits?

English Angora rabbits are primarily bred for their soft, silky wool, which is similar to cashmere in texture and is used in the textile industry. A healthy adult Angora rabbit can produce up to 2 kilograms of wool per year, which is harvested every three to four months by plucking or shearing. Regular grooming is required to prevent the wool from matting and felting.

BIO-SECURITY IS UPMOST CONCERN!

CLOSED RABBITRY

The primary goal of a closed rabbitry is to maintain a specific genetic line or breed with a high level of purity, preventing the introduction of unwanted genes or diseases from external sources.  We do not allow tours but can send weekly updates along with pictures and videos as often as requested, or Facetime. This ensures the health of all our rabbits. If an appointment is absolutely needed, please understand the baby will be brought separately in a single cage and must remain on a 5 day quarantine to ensure safety of other littermates before its return to nest with siblings. **NOTE this will only be preformed after the baby is 6 weeks old**

Available English Angora Bunnies Waitlist

Get on the waitlist and skip the line! We primarily work off the waitlist due to being a smaller rabbitry!

Rules of the waitlist: Once contact is made, you have one hour to reply and submit a deposit to reserve said rabbit. We have many excited families trying to make the list and we will remain fair in dudiligence to get back to everyone. ***If there are available bunnies there is no list being held.***

NOTE: We will announce the day we are making calls in advance and by text so not to interupt work or your day.

ALSO, as a reminder we WILL NOT have gender available until babies are 4 WEEKS OLD. So please do not reserve if you are needing a specific gender, please wait until genders are posted and then you can reserve. We do not guarentee genders until after this date but mis gendering can happen at a low possability.

WE ARE LOCATED IN CRANE HILL, AL

Important Information on reserving Rabbits

Deposits are due upon contact of rabbits available. Deposits are small and non-refundable to no fault of the breeder. If something should happen to said reserved rabbit Southdown Acres LLC will refund the deposit immediately. **NO HOLDS ALLOWED** We do not hold your place on the waitlist if you do not respond. We give everyone the same respect as we ask you give us as we keep our list fair.

**If you choose to switch rabbits after a deposit is made to either the same litter or a different litter, your deposit will be lost, and a new deposit is required, along with a $20 transfer fee (if the reserved rabbit is over 4 weeks old).

Gender is not guarenteed until 12 weeks of age. Most our rabbits go to their new homes between 7-8 weeks depending on their independency and health. Please understand refunds based on wrong gender are not accepted as we are very upfront about the difficulty of sexting rabbits prior to 12 weeks. We also do not take deposits based on waiting for gender or eye color, please check back on availability as they become older and are not reserved.

Transportation

We do work with transportation and in the next section gives a list of transporters we do recommend. However, if there is one in mind you would like to use, please let us know ahead of time. We understand that getting set up with transport is a timing issue, and we can keep bunnies a few weeks longer to make sure they get on transport. But we kindly ask that bunnies be paid in full by the local pickup date, and the pedigree will be emailed to you directly at that time as well. **We do not refund deposits based on transportation scheduling issues; we can just shift funds to another litter or we can hold the bunny with boarding fees.
